Breaking News: New York Governor David Paterson Bails Out of Governors Race
The news of New York Governor David Paterson withdrawing from the race is just crossing the wires. according to Reuters:

>Embattled New York Governor David Paterson has decided to withdraw from the race for governor and will not seek election this year, the Daily News reported on Friday.
Paterson was elected lieutenant governor and ascended to the top post two years ago when former Governor Eliot Spitzer resigned amid a prostitution scandal.

First, I think this was precipitated by Cuomo rattling the handcuffs because Paterson is deeply, deeply dirty, and involved in numerous fonts of corruption, and many of them have made it to the public eye, with more to follow.
Second, I think this was precipitated by Cuomo rattling the handcuffs because Cuomo is deeply, deeply dirty and Cuomo wants Paterson's job.
