News from MA-9 (Lynch, D)

Briefly spoke by phone yesterday with Keith Lepor, Republican candidate for this seat held by Steve Lynch (D) since 2001 and by Joe Moakley forever before that.  He has been told by the Secretary of the Commonwealth that he has well over the minimum 1000 certified signatures required to be on the ballot (thought he said he had something like 3600 certified!) – setting up the first competitive House race in MA-9 since the 2001 special election, in a district that Scott Brown carried with about 59% of the vote.
