#NVSen Update: Senator Heller Will Tour a Local Roofing Company in Las Vegas While Remaining on Offense Against Harry Reid’s Liberal Protégé

In Nevada, the Henderson Press reports that Dean Heller remains on offense against Harry Reid’s liberal protégé, embattled U.S. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley.  Republican Sen. Dean Heller continued verbal jabs at Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley in a luncheon co-sponsored by the Henderson and North Las Vegas chambers of commerce, Aug. 15.  The same day, Heller’s campaign released a new TV spot criticizing the congresswoman for “a history of public corruption.” … “Medicare and Social Security go bankrupt, if we do nothing,” Heller told a largely partisan chamber gathering at downtown Las Vegas’ Plaza Hotel. “So the question is, ‘Do you want to save it? Preserve it? Or do you want it to go bankrupt?’

• Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Sun reports that next month Senator Heller will tour a local roofing company in Las Vegas.  U.S. Senator Dean Heller (R-NV) will be in the Las Vegas Valley on Tuesday September 4,2012, when he will visit local roofing contractor Commercial Roofers, Inc in Las Vegas.  Senator Heller will tour the firm’s facilites and address the employees and leadership on his views on federal policy issues impacting the construction industry.
