Chicago Woman Dies After Abortion at Planned Parenthood
A 24-year-old woman died late Friday after a second-trimester abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic in downtown Chicago.
Tonya Reaves was pronounced dead at 11:20 p.m., according to the Cook County Examiner’s office. An autopsy on Saturday showed that Reaves died from hemorrhage after a Dilation and Evacuation (D&E) procedure, which is usually performed in the second trimester. A D&E procedure consist of dilating the cervix and removing the unborn baby in pieces. The medical examiner’s office said that an intrauterine pregnancy also contributed to her death.

Additionally, in 2008, the DNC removed from its platform language specifying the position that abortion be “safe, legal and rare” in apparent opposition to the “rare” part. How many pro-choice Americans do not want the need for abortion to be “rare”? Aside from Democratic Party leaders and operatives, including President Obama, and those who profit financially in the abortion industry, it’s safe to say almost none.

I’m frankly, fed up, with the one-sided bias,” a frustrated Newt Gingrich asserted on Sunday’s Meet the Press, citing two blatant examples. First: “Where is the outrage over overt, deliberate racism” in Vice President Joe Biden telling a black audience “if the Republicans win you will be ‘in chains’”?
Second, President Obama “voted three times to protect the right of doctors to kill babies who came out of abortion still alive. That plank says tax-paid abortion at any moment, meaning partial birth abortion — that’s a 20 percent issue,” a position which Democrats “couldn’t defend…for a day if it was made clear and as vivid as all the effort is made to paint Republicans.”
Gingrich charged: “If the news media spent as much time on the extremism of the Democrats as they spend trying to attack us, they would not be able to adopt that plank this week.”
