President Obama: The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam

The future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt – it must be claimed by those in Tahrir Square who chanted “Muslims, Christians, we are one.” The future must not belong to those who bully women – it must be shaped by girls who go to school, and those who stand for a world where our daughters can live their dreams just like our sons. The future must not belong to those corrupt few who steal a country’s resources – it must be won by the students and entrepreneurs; workers and business owners who seek a broader prosperity for all people. Those are the men and women that America stands with; theirs is the vision we will support.
The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied. Let us condemn incitement against Sufi Muslims, and Shiite pilgrims. It is time to heed the words of Gandhi: “Intolerance is itself a form of violence and an obstacle to the growth of a true democratic spirit.” Together, we must work towards a world where we are strengthened by our differences, and not defined by them. That is what America embodies, and that is the vision we will support.

Am I missing something? What’s with all the hate speak? The president is saying that the people who are burning our embassies are slandering the prophet of Islam who preached peace. He isn’t saying he sides with terrorists. Did you people bother reading the transcript? “The future must not belong to those who target Coptic Christians in Egypt…”
If some insane Christians blew up a building wouldn’t the statement “The future does not belong to those who slander the word of Christ.” be a true one?
Our forefathers are rolling in their graves as those living free because of their sacrifice in blood and treasure base their votes on lies and emotion instead of fact.
As the President of a nation where ALL religions are (supposed to be) accepted and respected, the comment is sound. He is speaking out to nations where terrorists reside and calling upon their representatives to take action at home.

Honestly, I don’t see what is bad here. “Don’t bully women, don’t let individuals steal your resources, condemn the slander of Islam, condemn the hatred against Christians (as seen when images of Christ are descecrated, churches destroyed) and against Jews when the Holocaust is denied.”
Show a photo of the president and a quote including the word “Islam” and there’s a connection.
Scroll through the comments below. Is there any discussion? No, there is hatred and anger and fear – which, coincidentally, are the most powerful tools in politics. Get people to fear someone and they will believe anything negative you say about him/her. There is nothing more dangerous to our democracy than a population that stops thinking, researching, and discussing.
If I’m missing something here, please point it out. I’m not being sarcastic, I truly want to understand why people are so angry.

If this man is given another 4 years (knowing he will never have to politic for office again), what will the American voters unleash on our nation and the world? The narcissist will be out of control and on a binge of power. With a Democrat Senate to stall Congress, he will use the Executive Power to order whatever he wills.
