Business Insider – Well the worst is over. Hurricane Sandy made landfall last night bringing strong winds and surging waters to the mid-Atlantic, New England, New York, and even snow across inland mountain regions.

Channel 4 reports 20 people in the New York City area have died.

Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers are without power, but that’s just a small portion of the 7.5 million customers without electricity throughout the East.
