…Practicing Proper Gun Control.
I bulls eyed damn near everything at the range. I love my rifle. I love shooting it. I love cleaning it. I spend more time cleaning it and oiling it down than shooting it. I love taking care of it. I go Zen. I love talking about guns with other enthusiasts. I love the drive to the range through the mountains, again, I go Zen.
Its an adventure and its good to see friends and talk guns and learn about gunsmithing and everything that comes with it. These people care about more than guns but, shooting helps to bring us all together and pra
People that have never even picked up a gun in their life and tried to take on these responsibilities do not have the right to decide how we do it. We are not criminals. We do not break the law. People that commit crimes with guns don’t care about their guns. They don’t care about the range or learning the art of shooting and maintaining complicated machinery nor the responsibility behind firearm ownership. You won’t find them at the range two hours after running out of ammo talking to the old timers having great conversations about serving the country, showing respect to WWII vets. How lucky am I to hear these stories? I feel I am so lucky. Ever see an old man load a musket and shoot it just because? Its awesome.
What’s not awesome is our tragic failure in our society to reach potential killers which are so much in need, so much in pain. They are mentally ill and nobody cares about it!!! THEY JUST WANT TO DIE AND THEY WANT TO PUNISH OTHER PEOPLE, ALL PEOPLE, FOR IT. What’s left is unimaginable…
A legal M4 semi automatic carbine and “Gun Culture” might not make a man… but, it can be a great tool to let you connect with other like minded adults and have adventure, community, and finally responsibility. That’s what makes you feel whole. I challenge anyone to debate that. I challenge anyone to fail to see that this is what these poor bastards are lacking because nobody cares enough. A first step or even preventative step to protect them. Show them… something to believe in.
Children need to be built into leaders of men. Not killers of them through neglect. Dropping them in front of the Xbox to play a game made strictly for adults IS THE FAILURE… in gun control. Only parents and caring caretakers can rise up and give them a connection to people, adventure, and a proper sense of community. Its about time everybody grows a pair and takes on some goddamn responsibility. Otherwise how will they know what it is.
