McCain Takes One of My Critisizms Off the Table; Time to Give Credit Where Credit is Due!

Tagged:

I've never written a post criticizing John McCain for not meeting with Billy Graham Ministries but I've criticized him in many thread posts for seemingly stiff arming Billy Graham and those who hold him in high esteem. Billy Graham and his son Franklin are pretty much universally respected throughout the Christian Community as well as in leadership and religious circles of all kinds. He's been the unofficial pastor to presidents meeting and ministering every single president since Harry Truman.

I just got home and saw his rant before I saw that you all had already taken him to the wood shed....I wish I'd seen your posts before I told him to go play in traffic so I wouldn't have said anything at all to him...but alas...twas not to be!

Ever Wonder How All Those RINOS Got Control Of The GOP? What Conservatives Should Know About The Republican Main Street Project

Tagged:

Have you ever wondered where all those RINOs go to scheme and subvert the goals of Conservatives in the Republican Party and how they maintain "Centrist", (read Liberal), control of a center right party? Ever wonder what ever happened to the Gingrich Revolution when the GOP stormed Washington and gained control of the for the first time in 40 years? Have you ever wanted to know why we weren’t able to complete the Contract with America or how the losses of 2006 were engineered and who engineered them?

OK…I’ve heard much outrage of late about the recent Supreme Court Ruling giving Habeas Corpus rights to terrorists and enemy combatants at Gitmo and rightly so. I’ve been kind of flippant about it because I figured the outrage would die as the next big event came along to distract everyone which would result in the rage about the Supreme Court usurping powers specifically enumerated to the other two branches of government being forgotten. It seems I was right to be so cynical because it looks like everyone has moved on. And so it goes and has gone for decades.

My question is this...was this video made by a Republican trying to show what paranoid and stupid Democrats believe or was it posted by a paranoid and stupid Democrat....LOL.

Looks like this is the 2008 version of the Clinton charge that Republicans want to breath dirty air, drink dirty water, throw single mom,s along with their babies and their kids out on the street and starve grandma taken to absurd extreme...

Politics As Warfare: Lessons From History The GOP Must Learn! Part I

Tagged:

This is the first of a series of Articles as inspired by E Pluribus Unum at RS and at TMR comparing Politics to war.

Wars are made up of many battles. Wars can be dominated by one side over another yet lost in the long run if there is not a proper respect for strategy and tactics and/or a proper respect for the lessons taught by the enemy. Most importantly one battle can decide the whole war in positive and/or negative ways!

The first one I will profile is the Battle of Gettysburg, in 1863.

A brief overview of the battle:

With the advent of RS 3.0, and the inability to put images in our signatures, It appears the Republican distress banner has flown it's last on the pages of Red State. Let us pause and gaze upon her image here at TMR and reflect upon her short and storied life...flying proudly on my each and every post. Alas, she will fly no more except in our memories as the sun sets upon her glorious visage.

May we observe a moment of silence and reflection?

I guess Big Gator5 gets his way. Seems that if you are attacked incessantly you are not allowed to defend yourself over there. I hope they reinstate me but if not...oh well.

Maybe I should just stay over here where I'm welcome.

A Tale of Two Cities on a Hill: The Republican Party at a Cross Roads

Promoted - well done, ace. - DocJ

The Republican Party is at a crossroads. The first path leads to Ronald Reagan’s shining city on a hill, the other to the Democrat’s dark, dingy and socialist city upon a very different hill. The first way has been articulated in a recent speech by Representative Mike Pence at the Annual Silver Elephant Dinner in South Carolina, the other way has been articulated by several Republicans of late including Representative Tom Cole on Fox News Sunday last week, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels at the Fund for American Studies annual conference in mid April and others pushing the Party leftward.
