Fund the troops NOW, Democrats - can we call it treason yet?

15 months ago, the Bush administration put in its emergency spending request for the ongoing military occupation and rebuilding of Iraq, aka "the Iraq war". The Previous request had been used as a political football by congressional Democrats -- delayed, had funding approved but attached to demands to precipitiously abandon Iraq - guaranteed veto-getters -- before finally, grudgingly allowing the funding to be partially approved, and seemingly designed to be as unhelpful as possible.

The DoD was forced to use every kind of accounting trick, siphon money from every corner of the budget that they possibly could, just to keep the doors open. The various programs that were pilfered were hardly 'non-essential', DoD employees were constantly faced with the specter of layoffs, forced . They canceled needed training, untold thousands of long-term projects, maintenance, and every kind of budget item that serves to make military life smoother.

These delays and shortfalls were PURELY the result of the sorriest, lowest kind of political gamesmanship by congressional Democrats. These dirty tricks were supplemented and supported by our own Treason Media, who dutifully failed to call ANY of this to the attention of the American public. Many, maybe most, of the budget items that were pilfered from were not re-funded. They will either have to be funded by future budgets, or else our troops will have been stiffed entirely by the Democrats.

Patriots my ass. Actively and publicly undermining the war effort, AND the troops, is more like it. They are overtly and willingly (if not deliberately, and I wonder...) providing aid and comfort to America's sworn enemies.

In spite of their loud protestations to the contrary, the Democrats, at least the national party apparatus and INCLUDING the Treason Press, are ANYTHING but Patriots. They do not support our troops. The do not love America. It cannot be honestly said that they are 'serving' as Senators and Congressmen. They are serving themselves alone.

They don't even HATE America, as a general rule. It's worse than that, because an America-hater we could at least recognize as having the courage of his convictions. Not so for these craven, self-involved cowards. No, they are toadies for their far-left constituencies , on whom they rely for campaign funding and footwork, and free press. The Democrats do all this to please these, who are in fact America-haters.

So there we are. But it gets better. Or worse. What I have described was the PREVIOUS go-around. The current emergency spending request was made 15 months ago, and once again things have been pushed to the brink of failure. OMB Director Jim Hussle spoke to National Review on the grisly details of the ongoing crunch. The short version: after July 4, the military will be OUT OF MONEY. All emergency shuffling of funds will have been used up. Meanwhile Harry Treason Reid has maintained that there is no crisis, the Treason Media is stony silent, and meanwhile the Democrat House recently passed a pork-infest, cut-n-run mandating excuse for a bill that actually does not provide the necessary funding, and DOES include back-door amnesty measures. That bill is DOA at the Senate, and would certainly will be DOA at the desk of President Bush.

So really, I've seen enough and I have only two questions:

(1) can we call it treason yet?
(2) how is it that these Democrats stand poised to gain seats in both Houses this November?
