Can The Republican Party Survive Another Scandal?

With the investigation into Ted Stevens well underway, the question must be asked, "Can the Republican party survive another scandal?

While we all know Ted's middle name is pork, in fact, he may even define the term, a few scandals like this could do a lot of harm to us and our bid for the White House.

It is my firm belief that the '06 elections cost us the House and Senate, not because of campaigns or candidates, because of the scandals that erupted just before the elections.

As Yogi Berra once said, "This is Deja Vu all over again". With the '08 elections 15 months away, time is growing shorter, but the timing is just right for scandals like this to grow. Investigations can take a long time, especially if the one running the investigation controls that timing, and what better time to announce the results, 3 or 4 months before the election.

It's too late in the season for cleaning house, and I believe that is NOT the way to go anyway.

We need to UNITE behind the nominee, have a cracker jack clean-up team on standby and get the White House BACK!
