Hillary Clinton has suffered a temporary defeat. Ironically, it has given her a taste of what conservatives have been dealing with for a long time - a media in the tank for your opponent, and "race baiter" as a permanent descriptor, deserved or not. Many have posited that "what she wants" is the nod for VP. I disagree - what she wants, and what she will get, is the utter destruction of her enemies. Here's how she'll get it.
Barack Obama is an inexperienced lightweight, so one of two things will happen. Either America will wake up, realize this and Obama will get hammered in the general, just as Hillary warned, or he will get elected and preside over the most incompetent administration in the history of America. Hillary realizes this, and there is no way - NO WAY - she will allow herself to be part of the coming disaster.
She will "campaign" for Obama in all 50 states, so she can say she gave it her all. She will give speeches that hammer home her many policy agreements with Obama, while at the same time bolstering her support for a run in 2012. Her opponents will be muted, too busy polishing their Obama statues to notice.
No matter what happens in the general, she will return to the Senate strengthened and far more formidable - either as a huge thorn in John McCain's side, or a bemused spectator at the mess the Obama administration will soon become. No matter what, when it all hits the fan, the media that shilled for Obama will turn, his cheerleaders at MSNBC will be revealed as the unhinged idiots they really are, and her hands will be firmly around their necks, squeezing, squeezing, squeezing... until they are gone - wrong, irrelevant, discredited, a bad memory.
Clintons and terrorists have this in common - they are in the thing for the long haul, they have the caliphate as their goal, and they will not be deterred or stopped until they are dead, and I mean for real dead of old age or something. And make no mistake - every slight will be counted, every betrayal accounted for, every comment filed away for the future. The only thing to do now is wait, and watch.
