Keep most of the powder dry

As much as we all want to start in on our Obama attacks, I think we may want to hold off for now. Hillary is a Clinton, so obviously cannot be trusted. The decisive attacks on Obama can wait until after the Democrat's convention here in Denver in August. We'll still have plenty of time after that to take him down.

My reasoning is pretty simple. Understand that a Clinton is involved. She will not concede and she will attempt to posture her way into as powerful a position as she can get, but she will still be "alive" come convention time. The best thing we can do for her is to take Obama down enough that we make the case for superdelegates to change their minds and go with her in order to beat McCain. The Democrats have openly stated that all that matters to them is winning the white house and full majorities in both houses, in my opinion so that they can ram their agenda down our throats and nobody can do anything to stop them.

Hillary would love nothing better than to have us conservatives do what she cannot do. We can easily expose his position on Iraq and other foreign policy areas as wrong and very dangerous and she's right there to offer up a Clinton solution. If the polls (we all know how this actually drives Democrat's decision making process) were to be showing Obama was in trouble we can trust the Democrats to rewrite their primary rules and swap candidates.

Remember how the 9/11 commission pointed out the Clinton policy of not retaliating for terrorist attacks as being one of the major factors leading to the events of 9/11? It will be more of that, and possibly Iraq as a safe haven for Al Qaeda to rebuild into strength again, all the while Hillary will be smiling at you on TV explaining how great you all have it with her in charge.

Keep the powder dry and lets just take down the easier target, but only after they've committed to him.

...she'll suspend her campaign on Saturday then start a "kill him with kindness" whirlwind tour!

In pure clintonesque style using the most distasteful, disgusting hypocrisy lavishing Obama with heaps of platitudes and drippingly sweet rhetoric in order to undermine his campaign and get back to fund raising for four years to do it all again.

she kills him with kindness, but doesn't actually help much, then makes one last plea at the convention...

Then she'd obviously move on to the 2012 campaign.

If you lose a primary, you've probably lost your shot at that position. That's why we need to keep an eye on her. They will not walk away this easily and just back the "people's choice". It's not their nature.

Summer is almost here. No sense in dragging our our A-material against The Obama! until at least Labor Day. Nobody's going to be paying any attention until then anyway.

And, we consevatives are all geared up to start in on the full fledged attack. It would benefit them more than us if we attack now.

An October surprise played in June is no surprise. On the other hand, an October surprise is now viewed with some scepticism thanks to the likes of Dan Rather et al.

Right around Convention time is a great time to really start hammering the guy! Now is the time for research.
