Patrick Hughes is a conservative Republican candidate for US Senator, running for the seat currently occupied by Roland Burrris.
We have noted Hughes before at TMR, and it’s good that he is getting national attention. And as The Illinois Review notes:
I’ve met Hughes and support his candidacy, yet I was pleasantly surprised with his ease and confidence on a national stage. He represented himself well and received the endorsement of “The Great One”! More importantly, he had the opportunity to speak to an audience of millions, which hopefully included a large number of registered voters in Illinois.
Hughes is running against liberal Republican In Name Only Mark Kirk, who the establishment has cynically backed.
That's right, the Maverick himself, Johnny Mac. Kirk is his posterboy fr his countrywide campaign to rebuild the GOP in his own liberal image. Kirk must be destroyed like the rest of his liberal brethren.
