Cindy Sheehan Qualifies to Challenge Pelosi

Tagged:

Even Hollywood couldn’t come up with a story this sweet. Cindy Sheehan, infamous anti-war protester and President Bush antagonist, obtained 214 more valid signatures than the 10,198 she needed to qualify for the ballot. According to a Fox News Report Sheehan says,

I feel like Nancy Pelosi, as the Democratic leader, has failed our country miserably…

Ok, so I cut part of the quote out, which you can see at the linked article, but I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree with this portion of it.

To date, Sheehan has raised a little over $300,000 and Pelosi has about $2.4 million. I’m seriously tempted to contribute to Sheehan’s campaign…

The entire district is nothing but fruits and nuts, so I think almost anything could happen. $300k in that race is enough to do some damage. It would be just so LOVELY if America's Idiot started polling enough to start giving America's Mother-in-Law wome worries.

Unfair. Unbalanced. Unmedicated.

...and this quote:

May be the first time ever that I agree with America's Idiot -- though obviously for different reasons.

The other candidate on the ballot for the 8th district seat is Republican Dana Walsh.

... a serious challenge in that district by anyone would be a fools errand but with Pelosi's abysmal approval ratings and the energy issue... who knows?

There could actually be an election in that district.

Interesting.
