Fighting for conservatism one day at a time.
You are completely kidding, right? Just in case you're not...
They left out education. Palin, one degree, in journalism, from Idaho. Idaho. Conservative, yes. Intellectually rigorous, well, no. Obama, one degree from Columbia in Political Science with a specialization in international relations, plus another degree from Harvard, in law. While there, he was president of the law review. Conservative, well, yeah, actually, for the most part. Those who have conservative ideology by the throat may not want you to think that, but, yeah, those schools are pretty conservative. Intellectually rigorous, you betcha. Now what's your preference? Someone who can tell a good story, or someone who can think the story through?
They left out Obama's many laws passed to improve transparency and accountability in government. They left out his efforts to reduce homelessness among veterans, sole source contracting and more. In other words, he has been working for good government. Ms. Palin has been working to teach creationism in the schools, a concept that has no scientific basis whatsoever.
While they were at it, they padded Palin's resume. I mean really, aren't there folks in the know who say that the increase in oil prices actually drove all that new work on the pipelines?
I don't know about you, but I'd go with the guy who knows something about international relations and law over a pretty little raconteur any day.
there is nothing remotely conservative in any form of the word in the education that Sen Obama received. He admits in his own book that he sought out Socialist professors, and he did not have to look hard to find many of them.
As for his political work for the poor and impoverished in Chicago -- he has two items to hang his hat on -- education and housing.
The Chicago Annenberg Challenge that he oversaw, spent tens of millions of dollars, funneling it to certain groups and friends and in the end -- there was NO appreciable difference between those schools that received funding and those that did not.
He managed to funnel HUNDREDS of millions of taxpayer money to friends who build substandard housing throughout Chicago and most of those buildings are now unlivable and falling apart. His answer is to throw HUNDREDS of millions MORE taxpayer dollars at tearing down those buildings and funneling that money into his friends pockets to rebuild them again.
Yes, we DO know a lot about Sen OBama, and we want nothing to do with him.
Look....want to genuinely compare resume's? You want to debate who's more conservative? Cool. But don't distort the truth.
The producers of the video made Obama's resume short. It is so short because they took his 9 years legal practice in a Chicago law-firm and called it a "non-existent legal career." They took his 11 years as a Fellow & Senior Lecturer at Chicago University Law School and made it into "temporary professor." They took the hundred plus bills he's sponsored in both the State and Federal Senates and reduced it to what -- "no meaningful legislation?"
The truth is that if the producers were honest, that while Obama's experience is not in the executive branch, they'd have to show that Obama's public service, foreign policy, public policy, fiscal/budgetary and legislative experience far outweighs Palin's by a huge margin.
For as short a career as Palin has....she's no slouch. Highlight her strengths. Don't try to raise her up by lying about her opponent.
I'm tired of being treated like I'm a moron by the candidates and their so-called supporters.
Peace.
Obama's public service, foreign policy, public policy, fiscal/budgetary and legislative experience far outweighs Palin's by a huge margin.
OK Don, let's get specific here. Can you, quickly, name for me what is Barack Obama's singluar accomplishment - either legislative or in "private practice"?
And no - managing to "get elected" to this, that or the other is not an accomplishment. I'm looking for what it is he actually did on the job.

Obama's public service,
This is the whole "community organizer" thing, right? OK, well, so?
foreign policy,
Let's see - governor of a ginormous state that borders 2 foreign countries (Palin) versus having twice dined at an International House of Pancakes (The Messiah). Uh, sure.
public policy,
Is this the whole "community organizer" thing again? Or are you going to come up with some sort of actual, you know, accomplishment in the realm of "public policy" that Senator Hopey Changey has actually made?
fiscal/budgetary
And how many budgets has St. Barack ever signed in his life? Outside of his own checkbook, I mean.
and legislative experience
Yep, he's been a legislator. Meaning that he's shown-up and voted "Aye, Nay, or Present" on legislation. Wow - that's something!

is running against Sen McCain?
will no longer reside above Senator obama's pay grade.
Election 2008: Now, at long last, I really and truly believe the GOP can do this!
I don't really care about how her resume compares to Obamas. It's absolutely obvious to anyone who looks hard enough the differences between the two people - she is an intellectual lightweight unfit for the job she is running for.
It's wonderful to think that someone like her, who many of us can identify with, might make it to the Whitehouse. She is a common person with many values I support. But I feel this office has evolved to the point that it requires people with the ability to think through complex problems, to be able to engage in diplomacy, and to be able to relate the problems the country faces to an electorate in such a way that they can understand. She is not ready for that responsibility. And sadly may never be.
I like McCain and had hoped to vote him into office. He, unlike Palin, has spent years gaining experience and refining his views on issues that matter to me. I respect him.
His electoral teams choice in Palin was politically shrewd but I can't help but think that the ticket as a whole has suffered. They are not a great team.
The only thing Barack Obama has refined is his con job--and it appears you've bought into it.
I guess when you don't care about honesty and decency--and don't think of them as the highest of values in the human condition, then you'll take the corrupt bullshitter as king. Barack's intelligence, able to handle complexities as you put it, isn't worth a dime if the program running the information is damaged. Actually, as Howard Hughes said of a very intelligent guy he once interviewed for a job when someone asked Howard how much he would pay to employ a guy that smart--"He's worth about $500, that's what a good set of encyclopedias would cost me."
If you haven't noticed, John, Barack isn't a very good decision maker, shows horrible judgement, and can't give you a straight answer.

Don’t complain when it comes out less favorable to your Messiah.
I think I can say, and say with pride, that we have legislatures that bring higher prices than any in the world. ~ Mark Twain
That would be a more appropriate analogy. Executive decisions made....
Zero!
I didn't know Palin was running against Obama!!!??

Sen Obama can't seem to remember who is running in this election -- you KNOW you don't want to put Sen Obama's "resume" up against that of Sen McCain, because you don't EVEN come close.
... another "life-long christian conservative republican primary-voter" who just happened to show-up about the time of our last troll invasion to drop a snarky comment in a rather long-dead thread.
My, my - but The Messiah's storm troopers sure aren't acting like this thing is in the bag.

why did Sen Obamessiah's resume end so quickly while Gov Palin's continued on for so long?
