Sometimes I wish conservatives would stop beating up on Hollywood. La-La land can be quite useful in analyzing today's politics, especially classic Hollywood. For instance, in the old Hollywood classic "Land of the Pharaohs", scheming Joan Collins gives us a sizzling portrait of a scheming power-seeker putting down everyone in her way:

Here's another instance of where art imitiates life, directly applicable to the treatment of Sarah Palin by the elite media and powerbrokers, some even on the Right.
I must say Jack Hawkins is more convincing as Pharaoh than would-be successor Barack Obama. But then Hollywood today is not what it used to be!
