I'm hearing disconcerting rumors that McCain is planning to endorse the so-called Gang of101620 energy legislation. That would be a huge mistake. In terms of its effect on the conservative base, supporting the Gang of 20's energy bill would be like McCain pouring a big bucket of cold water on the fire he started with the Palin pick.
Well, that would be putting it mildly. What it would do precisely is ram a shiv in the neck of Maverick's newly energized base and probably put Barry "Jesus, my brother, was a Community Organizer" Obama in the White House.
It would, in other words, be precisely the sort of frigtard stupid nonsense we were expecting after Maverick was safely in the Oval Office - but had every reason to believe, especially given the Palin pick, would be kept under control by, well, brighter people until at least November 4th.
Brilliant move, Maverick - toss-in your lot with Congress and their 9% approval rating just at the time gas prices are starting to creep back up.
Freaking. Brilliant.
Let us all hope, my sisters and brothers, this is just another Lieberman-Pro Choice Veep-type headfake.
For Ace this is a "flaming skull" moment - never a particularly good sign.
It's better to have no bill at all than a phony one which dishonesty "proves" there's simply no point to drilling more American oil.At least with no bill, we can keep fighting on this vital issue into the future, with some hope of success.
Precisely so. Ace continues in a vein much like I would like to say here - but posting guidelines prevent it. I'll just say "Amen" to his rant.

that brilliant move all on his own...and lest we forget, or in case you hadn't heard...John McBrilliant is promising to stock his cabinet with a healthy dose of Democrats!
Sarah's gonna be busy saving him from himself over the next 4 years!
BITTER CLINGERS UNITE!!!
