Democrat Barack Obama has a message for Tennessee’s Republican Party: “Lay off my wife.”
Obama, his party’s presidential front-runner, and his wife, Michelle, were asked in an interview aired Monday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” about an online video last week by the state’s GOP taking her to task for a comment some considered unpatriotic.
“The GOP, should I be the nominee, can say whatever they want to say about me, my track record,” Obama said. “If they think that they’re going to try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful because that I find unacceptable, the notion that you start attacking my wife or my family.”
He called the strategy “low class.”
Sorry Omamessiah it doesn't work that way! If you want your wife to be off limits here are two thing you have to do:
1) Get her off the campaign trail or at the very least don't have her making speeches!
2) If you insist an having her make speeches -- make sure she doesn't say stupid things! From all accounts she's a highly intelligent women so I find it a bit hard to believe she's saying these things off the cuff without knowing what she's saying or who she's saying it too.
If your wife is going to make these statements it is perfectly legitimate for people to point it out and question it.
There are ways to do this that don't make it look like you're "picking on a woman" - and that's about where I think the TN GOP was going with their campaign.
Don't get me wrong, I think it's absolutely vital to point out this woman's whacked-out views on life, the universe and everything - only that it has to be done "delicately". After all, we are talking about Ms. Obamessiah, right? And you know dang well the MSM will fall over over themselves defending this commie (and his wife). And little makes for negative headlines faster than "Desperate GOP ATTACKS Obama's wife - who also happens to be black, by the way - meaning they are racists as well as cads!!!"
Yeah, too long for a headline - but you know that would all end up in the first 'graph.
