The Minority Report And The Hinzsight Report Have Merged

Tagged:

Hey everyone,

As some of you have already noticed The Minority Report And The Hinzsight Report have merged. In light of some recent events David Hinz and I have decided to go ahead with a plan to join the two sites sooner rather than later. We had been tossing the idea of combining our sites for a while now... with creating a larger network and having a larger impact being our number one goal.

With the addition of The Hinzsight Report and our video site TMRB.tv we believe we are well on our way to creating a network that will deliver the best in conservative content... News, Opinion, Creative Video, and a whole lot more!

I would like to announce that as an outcome of our new merger David Hinz will be taking on the role of President and Editor in Chief of the network! David is a brilliant writer/blogger and more than deserving. Kudos, Dave!!!

I'd also like to publicly thank Neil Stevens, our Tech Guru, for his outstanding and speedy work (over the weekend) to get the sites integrated as fast as he did. Great Job my friend!!!

I also want to welcome all of the The Hinzsight Report's writers and contributors I won't call anyone out by name, as I'll let them introduce themselves -- some, like Gordon Taylor, Ken Taylor and Gamecock, you are already familiar with. I'm sure you'll all get to know the rest better as time goes on.

This is a very exciting time for us and this is only the beginning, we have big plans for the future and I hope you'll all join us for the ride!

Best,
Steven Foley

With one caveat. Whenever I hear the word "brilliant" bandied about I think of the story about the "brilliantly talented" NBA star who proclaimed, "I can write my name with either hand! That must mean that I am amphibious."

I will do all that I can to try to live up to Steve'sexpectations -- and to all of you who thought I was a tyrant when I was just a simple poster, Bwhahahaha! Bhahahaha!

[note to self: better up it to 500 mg]

Thanks to Steve and especially Neil for what I'm sure was a monster amount of Behind The Scenes work to get this done.

And welcome to our new Hinz overlord! Ready the wire brushes and lye soap!!

It should have been simple, except I tried to take a shortcut, heh. Silly me tried to use off the shelf Drupal tools (CCK and Views) expecting them to work easily. Ha!

No sense trying to teach this dinosaur any of this, either - I've decided to take my career in a new direction...

I've always liked Hinzsight, and this seems like a really nice fit.

Strange I'm not on the contributors page, and my login didn't work again today (seems to happen once a week)...you guys trying to get rid of me? ;-)

I will say it's a struggle to cross-post. HTML doesn't work without the br-br/ tags here, but it does everywhere else, so I either have to add those or change everything to BB code. If I have time, I do it and crosspost. If I don't...I don't.

I thought I had your name on the list -- fixed :0)

About the HTML here you have to use actual HTML the hybrid HTML most here are used to at places like RS and others is incomplete and prone to break the page with the smallest of forgotten tags and so on.

You should be wrapping your paragraphs in <p> tags and using <br> tags to separate sentences within a <blockquote> Proper HTML can be a lengthy process but if you use keyboard shortcuts like ctrl-C and ctrl-V going thought your post and adding these tags becomes much simpler.

This goes for TMR and Hinzsight: Use Markdown if you want to use pseudo html without putting <p></p> around your paragrpahs.
