Between the subsidies for "minority owned" and "women owned" businesses (can't expect them to be able to "fairly" compete for the prize - gotta level that playing field!), the "green corridor" grants (gotta re-tool existing businesses to be eco-ready, right?), etc. etc. etc. this will end-up costing us billions even if no prize money is awarded.

Which is precisely why this election comes down to a choice between cow-poop on rye vs. cow-poop on wheat.
I'm pulling for "wheat" because I hate rye bread - but I'm going to end-up with a big mouthful of cow-poop either way.

Sure Johnny Mac - and what are we supposed to do in the intervening 20-50 years while we make such a shift, eh?
We've been talking about this nonsense since the mid-70's and poured billions (if not 10's and 100's of billions) into "alternative" energy sources with almost nothing to show for the investment. And forgive my cynicism JMac, but I see precisely nothing in your resume to give me any confidence that you have the skill set to succeed in this area where so many others have failed.
