Palin Draws Obama-Like Numbers

Quote:
Nielsen estimates that more than 37 million people watched Gov. Sarah Palin's speech last night including 19.5 million women. In comparison, Obama's speech drew a shade more than 38 million. And Obama's speech was broadcast on ten networks (including BET, Univision and Telemundo) while Palin's was broadcast on the Big Six. Other Nielsen highlights:

The Detroit Free Press invited a panel of Michigan voters to weigh in on Gov. Sarah Palin's speech last night. Their reactions run the gamut, but the independents didn't seem to care for her very much.

Ilene Beninson, 52, Berkley independent: "Her speech contained few statements about policy or the party platform. … I am not convinced that Palin's experience as a mayor or governor in Alaska meet the qualifications to be vice president much less one stroke or heart attack away from being commander in chief.”

Oh, you mean the Code Pink independent from Michigan doing a lame hunger strike for Cindy Sheehan. Yeah, how "indpendent" can you get??? ha ha ha

Controversy continues to engulf the McCain campaign in the wake of revelations that VP candidate Sarah Palin's 17-year old unwed daughter is pregnant. Will Bristol's bastard bun-in-the-oven sink McCain's moose-murdering MILF -- and his campaign along with it? To find out, we asked a random cross section of American voters.

Bill O'Reilly: "Do you believe we are in the middle of a War On Terror."

Barack Obama: "Absolutely."

Bill O: "Who's the enemy?"

BO: "Al Qaeda, the Taliban, a whole host of networks that are bent on attacking America, who have a distorted ideology, who have perverted the faith of Islam and so we have to go after them."

Bill O: "The next President of the United States is going to have to make a decision about Iran whether to stop them militarily, because I don't believe, if diplomacy works - fine, but you've gotta have a plan B and a lot of people are saying look Barack Obama's not going to attack Iran...

BO (interrupts): "Look, look here's where you and I agree. It's unacceptable for Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. It would be a game changer and I've said that repeatedly. I've also said I would never take a military option off the table."

You put Palin on the other four networks and she easily beats Obama’s numbers.

42-42.

I have to say I don't believe this poll, though I'd like to. Numbers can't change this quickly.

But I got Palinmania, so up it goes.

I check in first thing in the morning and get all caught up from the night before. Then I log on at lunchtime and catch up on the changes from the morning. When I get home I have to spend 1-2 hours to catch up on all the new stuff that has gone up since lunch time.

THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! There is just too darn much good stuff going onto this site all day long... gimme a break folks!

I went almost a whole week last month where I didn't have time to log-in barely once daily because of this stupid day-job thing (you know, the one that, well, pays my mortgage and food and gas and...)

  1. I fixed your links. They were not working properly.

  2. Please go into your settings and change your name as it displays. It is highly uncouth to pretend to be someone you are not. Do this before your next comment or be gone.
