Yesterday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi outdid herself by claiming that without the Democrats’ $825 billion failed economic stimulus, unemployment would have reached 14.5%. On the other side of Pennsylvania Avenue, the Obama Administration claimed that with or without a stimulus unemployment would stay below 9%. No matter how Democrats try to spin it, the Obama/Reid/Pelosi stimulus has been a failure.

• Pelosi: Without The Stimulus Unemployment Would Have Reached 14.5%. “Without the Recovery Act and accompanying federal interventions, whether from the Fed, or Cash for Clunkers, or other initiatives, the unemployment rate last year at the time of the election would have been fourteen and a half percent, not nine and a half percent,” said Minority Leader Pelosi.
