Orrin Hatch Out Front on the Budget; Sponsors Balanced Budget Amendment

KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports that Senator Orrin Hatch sponsored the balanced budget amendment, which the Senate will soon vote on. “The battle over the nation’s budget will heat up again next week in Washington as the Senate begins debate on a proposed balanced budget amendment. Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch is one of the sponsors. Hatch sat down with KSL News for an extended interview Wednesday, where he emphasized how difficult the fight to pass the amendment will be for Senate Republicans. … Hatch said that all the Republicans in the Senate are on board.
