Soon, Democratic politicians and regulators actually began to take pride in lowered credit standards as a sign of “fairness” - and the contagion spread.
This is pretty much where I expect to be should we be confronted with the reality of a President Lightworker come January 2009.
This is surely small of me, but if Obama wins, I plan on giving him as much of a chance as the Democrats gave George Bush.
In other words, I already have my "So, had enough 'HOPEANDCHANGE' yet?" bumpersticker on order. Still hoping I'm not going to need it, of course - but best to be prepared.
The "1/20/2013" sticker will be right next to it.
Report: Fla. congressman paid $121K to former staffer after affair
ABC News says Rep. Tim Mahoney, D-Fla., had an affair with one of his aides and then agreed to a $121,000 settlement when she threatened to file a sexual harassment lawsuit.The Politico quotes a Mahoney spokesman saying that the payment didn't include any government or campaign funds.
The relationship between Mahoney and Patricia Allen began while he was running against Foley in 2006, according to the network, which says the affair continued after the Democrat took office and hired Allen to work in his district office.
